The Wheel Route - 21.37 (WEEK 10 RECAP)
2-man crew to review Week 10, take some alternative looks at the coaching carousel, take the temperature of things in Gainesville, and much more. Better picks for at least one of us this past weekend as well!

Plenty to discuss this week leading up to Week 10 including happenings in JMU land, the coaching carousel continuing to evolve, and college football playoff rankings. Games picked = Wake Forest @ UNC, Liberty @ Ole Miss, Auburn @ Texas A&M, Boise State @ Fresno State, and Oregon @ Washington.
Tough week for the boys’ picks to discuss, but that doesn’t take away from the joy of having TCU join the coaching carousel and it doesn’t diminish some of the venting we allow ourselves regarding schools wearing orange and blue.
We’re back in a big way to own last week’s picks & make new ones for this week, but we also take the time to recap a golf-heavy weekend in Florida, invent a new gas station snack, and solve Texas Tech’s coaching vacancy. Games picked = Michigan @ Michigan State, Georgia v Florida, Ole Miss @ Auburn, Penn State @ Ohio State, and Virginia @ BYU.
Week 8, on paper, doesn’t look so hot in terms of matchups but we have still showed up to discuss coaching carousel developments and pick some winners. Games picked = Syracuse @ Virginia Tech, Oklahoma State @ Iowa State, LSU @ Ole Miss, Clemson @ Pittsburgh, and NC State @ Miami.
We return to once again own a lackluster week of picks but a somewhat exciting stretch of games amongst those we had highlighted. Plenty of coaching carousel discussion as well!
2-man crew this week to take a look at the coaching carousel and the Week 7 board; bonus alternate uniform talk! Games picked = Oklahoma State @ Texas, Florida @ LSU, Kentucky @ Georgia, Pittsburgh @ Virginia Tech, and TCU @ Oklahoma.
Week 6 brought its own special brand of chaos to the party with plenty of exciting finishes including Alabama falling to Texas A&M, Oklahoma surging back past Texas, and Notre Dame stealing one on the road in Blacksburg.
We’ve got some potentially feisty games on the board this weekend, especially in the SEC and B1G; bonus roasting of Texas A&M shenanigans! Games picked = Texas vs Oklahoma, Arkansas @ Ole Miss, Georgia @ Auburn, Penn State @ Iowa, and Michigan @ Nebraska.
Week 5 made things tough on our picks but there was plenty of fun to be had with all of the chaos that showed up for the party. Bonus targeting rule debate!
The board looks pretty intriguing for Week 5, with conference play rounding into full swing and several ranked-on-ranked matchups at stake. Games picked = Arkansas @ Georgia, Cincinnati @ Notre Dame, Ole Miss @ Alabama, Baylor @ Oklahoma State, and UCONN @ Vanderbilt.
Week 4 saw some more curious performances from several Top 25 teams and a dominant USA win in the Ryder Cup. No new job openings of note but that doesn’t mean we’re out of ideas for where guys should go next.
Out of respect for the Ryder Cup there aren’t too many prime matchups on the board this weekend, but we’ve still got predictions (and bonus hot seat discussion!). Games picked = Notre Dame v Wisconsin, Louisville @ Florida State, Texas A&M v Arkansas, UCLA @ Stanford, and West Virginia @ Oklahoma.
Week 3 is in the books - Alabama/Florida delivered, road Bo Nix was improved but still not enough for an Auburn win, Cincinnati overcame another slow start, and UVA has a defense problem.
Week 3 is on the horizon so we’re back to discuss games of note as well as a sprinkle of coaching carousel talk and remembering some of our less-favorite coordinators over the years. Games picked = Cincinnati @ Indiana, Virginia Tech @ West Virginia, Alabama @ Florida, Auburn @ Penn State, and Arizona State @ BYU.
The board wasn’t quite as appealing a Week 1 but Week 2 still delivered some fireworks, especially late at night in Tallahassee. Join us as we recap some picks, bemoan the state of our golf games, and correctly predict the vacancy at USC (just not the timing).
The boys are back after a long holiday weekend to wrap up Week 1’s action, pay Randy Edsall his respects, and preview the upcoming Week 2 matchups. Games picked = Oregon @ Ohio State, Pittsburgh @ Tennessee, Iowa @ Iowa State, Washington @ Michigan, and Utah @ BYU.
Full slate of games on tap for this long weekend and we’ve got 5 ranked-on-ranked matchups to welcome us back to picking against the spread. Games picked = Penn State @ Wisconsin, Alabama vs Miami, Indiana @ Iowa, Louisiana @ Texas, and Georgia vs Clemson.
We’ve got games to discuss thanks to Week 0 action (apologies to Scott Frost), as well as our final two conference previews of the offseason before things really get rolling this weekend.
It’s time to look forward? ahead? to the B1G and ACC seasons - each have a clear favorite to represent their conference in the playoff, but is there any fun to be had outside of first place? Bonus Monday golf talk!
